4-Day Masai Mara Safari Adventure

Day 1: Arrival and Transfer to Masai Mara

Jambo! Your unforgettable safari begins with an early start in Nairobi. After a relaxing overnight stay, your representative will meet you at your hotel for a detailed briefing. You’ll then be transferred to Wilson Airport to catch your morning flight to the Masai Mara Game Reserve.

• Flight to Masai Mara: Your flight departs at 9:00 AM and arrives at around 10:00 AM.
• Arrival at the Camp: Once you arrive in Masai Mara, enjoy a guided game drive enroute to your camp, or if you prefer, head directly to the camp in time for lunch.
• Afternoon Game Drive: After a delicious lunch, relax for a while and then set out for your afternoon game drivestarting at 3:30 PM. Explore the stunning wildlife of Masai Mara, spotting lions, elephants, zebras, giraffes, and much more.
• Return to Camp: After a thrilling safari, return to the camp by 6:30 PM for dinner and overnight rest.

Day 2: Full-Day Guided Game Drive in Masai Mara

Today, get ready for a full day of adventure in the Masai Mara.

• Morning Game Drive: Start your day early with a morning game drive from 6:15 AM to 9:00 AM, before enjoying a hearty breakfast at the camp.
• Afternoon Game Drive: After lunch, set out again for a late afternoon game drive from 3:30 PM to 6:30 PM, ensuring that you experience the reserve’s wildlife in different lighting.

Since your safari is private, you have the flexibility to adjust the timings based on your preferences—ideal for families traveling with children or for honeymooners seeking a more relaxed pace.

• Optional Full-Day Game Drive: If you’re keen to explore even more, you may opt for a full-day game drive with a packed picnic lunch at no extra charge.
• Return to Camp: Enjoy a delicious dinner at the camp before settling in for a restful night.

Day 3: Full Day of Game Drives and Optional Activities

Another full day of excitement awaits you in Masai Mara.

• Morning Game Drive: Head out early for your morning safari. Enjoy the vast landscapes of the Mara and observe wildlife in their natural habitat.
• Hot Air Balloon Safari (Optional): For a truly magical experience, consider adding a hot air balloon excursionearly in the morning ($450 per person). Soar above the plains of the Masai Mara and witness the wildlife and landscapes from an entirely new perspective.
• Afternoon Game Drive: After lunch, enjoy another thrilling afternoon game drive, spotting the diverse animals that call the Mara home.

If you’d like to unwind after your game drives, there are several options available:

• Relax by the pool at your lodge or camp.
• Opt for a nature walk to learn more about the flora and fauna of the area.
• Visit a local Maasai village or indulge in a cultural experience to gain deeper insight into the region’s rich traditions and heritage.
• Alternatively, treat yourself to a relaxing massage (additional cost, depending on your accommodation).

Day 4: Masai Village Visit and Return to Nairobi

On your final day, enjoy a leisurely start.

• Breakfast and Masai Village Visit: After breakfast, set off for a guided visit to a Masai village (cost: $20 per person). This is a unique opportunity to experience the rich culture and traditions of the Maasai people, known for their vibrant dress, fascinating customs, and history.
• Departure: After your village visit, you’ll check out from the camp by 10:00 AM and head to the airstrip for your return flight to Nairobi.
• Arrival in Nairobi: Arrive back in Nairobi by mid-day (typically around 12:00 PM). You’ll be transferred to your hotel or, if you’re heading to the airport, enjoy a convenient transfer to JKIA for your onward flight.
