Trishuli River Rafting Overview
Trishuli River is Nepal’s most popular whitewater rafting destination, suitable for all experience levels, from beginners to seasoned rafters. The river flows through stunning landscapes, including scenic valleys, gorges, unspoiled beaches, and thrilling rapids. It’s a fantastic way to experience Nepal’s natural beauty.
Origin:
The Trishuli River originates from Gosainkunda Lake in the Himalayas, northwest of Kathmandu. According to legend, Lord Shiva created the three springs feeding the river with his trident, and that’s how the river got its name.
Best Seasons:
The best time for rafting is from February to mid-June and September to January. During the monsoon season (July and August), the river becomes dangerous due to high water volume.
Rafting Grade:
The Trishuli River has rapids graded from Class III to IV, offering excitement without being overly challenging. Rafting is safe for everyone aged 10 and above, as long as proper safety precautions are followed.
