A Eulogy for Charlie Kirk: Remembering a Beacon of Reason and Grace

My Dearest Charlie,

Though we never met in person, your voice found me years ago and became a beacon of light in a world that often feels dim. From the very first time I heard you speak, I felt something shift within me—a rekindling of hope for humanity, a belief that truth and reason could still prevail.

You were not merely a speaker or an activist. You were an angel walking among us, armed with a rare and divine patience. I watched in awe as you moved from university to university, facing waves of hostility and fanaticism with unshakable grace. You didn’t just speak—you listened. You didn’t just argue—you educated. And in doing so, you revealed a strength that felt almost supernatural.

Where did that power come from? Was it faith? Was it love? Or was it a purpose greater than any one of us—a calling to remind this broken world of its own humanity?

Today, my heart is heavy with a grief I can’t fully describe. The world has lost one of its most unique, courageous, and compassionate voices. In 40 years, I’ve never witnessed a leader like you—someone who could bridge divides with wisdom, not weaponize them. Someone who taught not from a place of ego, but from empathy.

Your work on Earth may have ended, but your mission has only just begun. It lives on in every mind you opened, every heart you touched, and every soul you inspired—including mine.

May you rest in eternal peace, dear Charlie. Your legacy will not be forgotten.

With deepest gratitude and sorrow,
